Working with the team at Union Cycliste Internationale(UCI) we created an animation to build awareness and excitement around the upcoming Cycling world championships.
The main goals for this project were to showcase cycling in all its forms and unite the entire cycling community within one video as well as capture the attention of non-cycling fans and present the event in a simple but authentic way.
The animation needed to hit all disciplines with the event, we wanted to show case all of the different events that would be taking place and the games. By having a continuous parallax animation, we were able to follow the cyclists along their journey and transition seamlessly between scenes.
We also wanted to reference the location of the event. We did this by incorporating elements such as Scottish landmarks within the backdrop, signs, and music.
